Course - Geodatabase design, creation and management with PostGIS

Spatial databases are essential for the creation of mapping services on the Internet. Geodatabases are used in the storage, management and analysis of geographic information and provide powerful solutions that we do not find in the desktop GIS. In this course we will use PosgreSQL/PostGIS using structured query language (SQL), using spatial functions and other advanced concepts. It is an eminently practical course in which the presented theory applies to a major project, composed of several specific exercises.

The course is face-to-face, with a duration of 20 hours and will take place on 5 March 2015 to 18 March 2015. 2 ECTS credits have been requested.
